It's been too long since I blogged. We went to Nashville this past weekend for a 3 year old's birthday party. Whew that was a crazy event. I didn't have my own camera there so I don't have anything scrapped for that, but I did three layouts (see above post for #66!) recently. The first one is Daybreak Scraps' newest mini called "Daddy Rabbit". I loved the orange pallat and knew I had the perfect photo for it! Here's what I did:

#62 - School is out for summer!!!

Today was my last day of work for a while. So, I ran some errands, went to the gym, took a nap and then picked up the girl. I thought it would be fun to go to the park, so we went and played and had a great time. We went to the mall for dinner and found this adorable pair of sunglasses. I have had a HORRIBLE weekend. The hubby was feverish and sick Friday night. I ran a 5K in terrible weather (80 degrees and 90% humidity at 9am!) then I fell ill. I had a 102 fever all Sat night into Sunday. Just when I was feeling better, I slammed my foot in the door. Hubby thinks it's broken. It hurts like crazy. In between the fever breaking and me breaking my toe, I got a layout done for Misty's new kit "Lola". I love the colors! I'm a sucker for brown and pink together. I used a template from Daybreak Scraps as well.

I finally am done with my first half-marathon! I feel like I'm finally getting back to life as usual. I have really worked hard that past month and feel that I was consumed with training. It was difficult. I'm officially retired as a long distance runner now and can't wait to do some more scrapping. Here's the first layout that I have done since the race. I will be scrapping more about the race weekend, but here's my absolute favorite picture of the weekend:

Well, it's been a long time since I've blogged. I'm feeling much much better but now am in the final stages of training for a half marathon! I completed my first ever 15K this past weekend. Running 15-20 miles a week can really take it out of a mommy! But I'm now on Spring Break so I'm hoping to do a little scrapping in the next few days.

Misty O'Brien has an adorable new kit out that I felt was so good, I just had to take a moment (OK, a couple of hours maybe...) to create something with it. I just love the colors!!! She is now a designer at the newly re-opened Funky Playground Designs! Here's a preview of the new kit:

Well, with school called again for tomorrow due to snow and ice, I have nothing better to do than to scrap I guess! LOL. Anyway, I'm working my way through all of the challenges at ESS and am completely bored and sick of all of the kits I have to use for them. It has to be 40% ESS designers. I have no idea how to figure that out. I mean, does it mean if I have 10 pieces on my layout including paper and photos that 40% of them have to be ESS? Or does it mean that 40% of the entire surface area has to be ESS? Who knows. So I just do all of it as ESS designers so I don't get in trouble. Ah, I am rambling because I haven't had any students to ramble at today.

I am definitely doing a happy dance here because we got a snow day today! Woot! Everyone is still in bed but I had to get up and call the sitter and my student teacher, so I'm up. While wandering around my frequent haunts, I found out that I had gotten Layout of the Day at ESS for the layout below (Snow More Fun)! Yay! I only have gotten that one other time at Gingerscraps but it was for one of my very first layouts that I did to figure out my computer program. It was a complete lift that only included my photos as original work. This one was all me (well, I used a template as that was the challenge, but I changed it all up!). Oh well, just thought I would share with anyone who happens to look here. :)

Misty is releasing a new kit tomorrow called "Everyday Happenings". It's a fabulous kit that is supposed to support all of your p365 needs! Even though I have decided not to participate in p365, it is still a fabulous kit. It works for all kinds of pages.

This is the last of the seven layouts that I had to do for the Enchanted Studio Scraps scrap-a-thon. I'm drained and ready to play without some rules. However, I actually like what this last one turned out like. I used Manda's "I Heart You". Here's the preview.

Well, #16 is not my favorite layout ever. I don't do a lot of scrap lifts and this was the challenge that I had to complete. The layout that I had to lift was amazing and anything that I did would not have been nearly as great. So here is what I came up with. I only have one more layout for this scrap-a-thon at Enchanted Scraps Studio. I used Manda's kit called Tropical Summer. It was perfect for my beach pics. I just don't like the arrangement.

I think I'm just going to title my layout posts with the number that they are for me in 2010. Another challenge. This time I used A+ Designs and Danimoy's collab Funky Christmas. I can't even remember why I got this one, I think I won it or it was a ss prize or something. I love the kit and used it for my Christmas cards this year. So here it is.

Wow, I just finished the 12th layout since 2010 started. Crazy. I'm trying to do all of the Scrap-a-thon challenges and have completed 2. Only 5 more to go! I'll have plenty of time the next few days to work on some more. Here's the one I did tonight. I needed a new subject so I created one with my hubby and me. He HATES getting pictures taken of him so I never have any to scrap. Well, he's not going to like it, but here's one with him. I used Manda's Scrappin' Creations "i heart you".

I participated in the speed scrap at Stuff to Scrap tonight. I had a great time until my stupid computer crashed. And did I save my original? Of course not because it takes too long to save. I decided today that I would try to conquer our trip to the pumpkin patch. I still haven't scrapped Halloween yet, but I felt like this was a little easier to start. There are so many Halloween pics! I may try to do that next. Maybe not.

Anyway, I started this by participating in the Stuff to Scrap "Recipe Challenge". They give you the "ingredients" that have to be in the layout and you come up with the layout. Here's what I came up with...

I have been accepted as a "part-time CT" for C.W. Picket. She's a great designer who has a store at Stuff to Scrap. Mojo for Christmas?

I have been desperately trying to get my mojo back recently. I got sick with H1N1 right before Thanksgiving and have been through 3 rounds of antibiotics since then to kick secondary infections. I will finish the last pill tomorrow! However, because of this plus the holiday madness, a weekend trip to Vegas, and working full time I have completely lost all scrapping mojo. I haven't created anything recently. Now that all of the relatives have gone home and all of the celebrations have slowed down, I have had some time to work on my pages. Let's hope that the mojo comes back soon...

This is my first layout as one of Misty O'Brien's CT members! I was really excited to play with her kit Fort Wilderness and hope that you too enjoy my layout. This was a trip to Banff that we took last summer. What I didn't know about sitting in that spot was that three (yes THREE) huge spiders crawled on me and decided to show themselves while driving home. Ugh. I hate spiders. Journaling says: I ran my very first 5K on Aug. 1, 2009. I trained for it for 3 months by following the Couch-to-5K training program. I had never run that far in my life. I was so nervous the week before the race that I had a migraine. A few of my friends were there. I ran with Bekah from my StrollerFit class. My time was 31:25. I look forward to running more races and longer distances.
